Adele’s ’25’ sells 3.38 million copies, shatters records
One week in, and Adele’s 25 keeps breaking records
On Sunday, Billboard reported the singer’s third album sold 3.38 million copies in the U.S., a record for single-week sales according to Nielsen Music.
It’s the only album to sell more than 3 million copies since Nielsen started tracking point-of-sale music purchases in 1991 — when people actually still bought records. It only took three days for Adele’s new album to leap past *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, which held the record for single-week sales since 2001 with 2.42 million sold. Read more…
