A police officer in Minnesota apparently opened fire on a black man during a traffic stop on Thursday evening, with the immediate aftermath of the incident then broadcast on Facebook Live.

The video, which was previously public and later made unavailable around 1:05 a.m. EST on Friday, was broadcast by a woman on the driver’s side of a car and showed what appeared to be a black man bleeding through his white T-shirt and a police officer with his gun still drawn.

A story from the Minneapolis Star Tribune confirmed the shooting and reported that family members had identified the man as 32-year-old Philando Castile. Those family members also said that Castile had died, according to the Star Tribune and CBS Minnesota. Read more…
