Maybe he was getting bored; maybe the Carlton Banks money was running out.
Maybe he’s making a play to become one of those dudes like Tom Bergeron, Ryan Seacrest or Chris Harrison, who make a ridiculous living by hosting as many shows as they possibly can. If that’s the case, he’s doing a good job so far; Ribeiro is also about to start hosting Food Network’s Unwrapped 2.0, and recently filled in for Bergeron when he hosted an episode of Dancing with the Stars, a show he recently competed on that was likely instrumental in mounting the career resurgence he’s experiencing.
