Any games that want to come to the newest version of the Apple TV will have to be playable with its minimal Siri Remote’s touchpad, according to developer guidelines released by Apple.

“Important: Game controllers are optional purchases that people may or may not make. But every Apple TV has a remote. If you support game controllers in your app, you must make the remote usable as a game controller too,” say the guidelines.

This means all games must support the touch pad on the Siri Remote, which allows for swiping and tapping gestures.
