DES MOINES, IOWA — Donald Trump stirred the pot again by bailing on Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate and holding his own competing event just 10 minutes away at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

But for all of the hype surrounding his opposition rally, the Republican front-runner spent less than 15 minutes actually addressing voters.

“We had about 24 hours to put this together — it was really, really quick,” Trump said as he took the stage, waving to mostly aging veterans who crowded the front of the auditorium. Read more…
