iiNet has been the Internet company everybody’s wanted to buy for months, and now one suitor has the necessary seal of approval.

On Thursday, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) announced it would not oppose TPG Telecom’s takeover of the Perth-based Internet service provider, iiNet. The ACCC was taking a good look at the deal because of fears it would lessen competition in Australia’s broadband marketplace.
