This toy of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange from the upcoming Marvel movie will be available only at San Diego Comic-Con International.

Doctor Strange gets the Pop Vinyl treatment from Funko toys, complete with his iconic superhero costume.

In the upcoming Marvel film, actor Benedict Cumberbatch plays Dr. Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, discovers the hidden world of alternate dimensions and magic while becoming an unusual superhero who protects us from paranormal and otherworldly villains.

The Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange Pop Vinyl toy features his goatee, cape and high-collared costume just as his character wears in the well-known Marvel comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko during the Silver Age of comics in the 1960s.

The Doctor Strange vinyl figure stands at about 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) tall. The price for the toy has yet to be revealed.

Vinyl Pop figures, which are more stylized than realistic, have become collectibles for fans of numerous franchises including “Star Trek,” “Ghostbusters” and “Firefly.”

This Doctor Strange Funko figure would make a great companion to other Cumberbatch toys, such as the Sherlock Holmes Funko figure or the more realistic Sherlock collectible doll from Big Chief Studios.

The Doctor Strange film figure is an exclusive collectible only available this July at the San Diego Comic-Con International event.

Fans can preorder a classic Marvel comics version of the Doctor Strange toy from Funko — also available this July — online for $11 (about £8 in the UK or AU$15 in Australia) from Entertainment Earth.

Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” movie opens in movie theaters on October 27 in Australia, October 28 in the UK and November 4 in the US.
