And now … Call of Duty! In! Spaaaaaaace!

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, to be released November 4 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, will see our heroes leave Earth and go gallivanting across the whole solar system. Development of the game will be “led,” Activision said Monday morning, by Modern Warfare development house Infinity Ward (that word choice likely meaning that any number of other developers are also on this too-big-to-fail project).

Besides the regular Normal Person edition of the game, Infinite Warfare will of course release in a wide variety of different special editions, each of which comes with a pretty substantial carrot: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, a next-gen do-over of the game that changed everything, Call of Duty 4. That sounds like enough to get many players to pony up an extra $20 and buy the game’s “Legacy Edition,” at least.
