After a fierce competition, CJ, a 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, was named Best in Show at the 140th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday.

CJ beat six other dogs in the final stage, taking home the prize for his group, Sporting.

Clearly his human was excited by the decision.

The seven finalists, below, were each chosen from specific groups: Working, Hound, Terrier, Non-Sporting, Sporting, Toy and Herding.
