An Australian couple have been left with a black wedding instead of a white wedding, after a bushfire came extraordinarily close to their wedding venue

The couple, Carli and Ennis Cehic from Melbourne, planned to marry in front of 170 guests at Galwiji Homestead in Scotsburn, Victoria on Saturday, according the ABC.

“I was on my way and the fire blew through in front of us, I couldn’t get through to the wedding,” the bride told the Herald Sun. “They thought I was running late.”

In a last minute dash to safety, the groom-to-be was rushed to a nearby pub — where he met up with his future wife. Read more…
