Culture Podcast: Recovering From Game of Thrones by Ragging on Resurgence
So, this upcoming weekend is the Fourth of July. That’s a very good thing, because, man, do we need to get outside and get some fresh air.
Look, it’s not that we here at The Monitor don’t get out much, it’s just that after Sunday’s Game of Thrones season finale we have a lot of feelings to process and, well, a little nature could probably do us some good. And frankly, considering a lot of the good summer TV shows are over and Independence Day: Resurgence was a bust, there’s not going to be much to keep us glued to our couches or theater seats this Fourth of July.
But that doesn’t mean we don’t want to talk about those things. Quite the contrary. We have a lot of things to say about the Independence Day reboot, the Game of Thrones finale, and the end of O.J.: Made in America. So join us. We’ve got editors and writers Emma Grey Ellis, K.M. McFarland, and Angela Watercutter in the podcast booth, and as soon as we get out of here we’re heading into the great outdoors.
