LOS ANGELES — Remember the movie that turned the 2004 version of you into a puddle of tears? The CW is turning it into a TV series

CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed a TV adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks’ 1996 romance novel The Notebook is currently in the early stages of development

“I’m thrilled Nick Sparks wanted to do it with the CW,” Pedowitz said

While the pilot script is not yet completed, Pedowitz revealed that the series is set after World War II. It will not show the older version of the couple, played by James Garner and Gena Rowlands in the 2004 movie, but rather the younger version of the couple, famously played by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams Read more…
