The storm is currently a Category 4 tropical cyclone, with maximum sustained winds of 155 miles per hour. This makes it the second-strongest such storm on record in the Arabian Sea

Tropical Cyclone Chapala is on the verge of becoming a Category 5 monster, and is forecast to have maximum sustained winds of 165 miles per hour at its peak intensity during the next 24 to 36 hours
