‘Dancing With the Stars’ Week 3: The Grand Generosity of the Judges
What you may have missed last week: Michael and Emma, Sadie and Mark, and Tavis and Sharna found themselves in jeopardy, but as we learned in Tuesday’s results show, Tavis’ lack of skill and personality ultimately sent him packing.
This week: One team lighter, we twirled into movie night, during which the pairs danced to the theme of a classic movie. Before anyone took center stage, though, Tom told the audience that starting with this week, they would return to the one-night-per-week format — which meant, of course, that another couple would go home based on last week’s judge’s scores and voting by the end of the show.
Or not. I’ll just tell you. By the end of the night, we learned that Cheryl and Antonio, Jonathan and Allison, and Karina and Randy were in the bottom three, and Randy was ultimately sent home. We’ll miss ya, buddy; it was a good effort and was fun to watch. Now go get that ear checked out.
In other news, Kevin Hart joined the judges panel this week in place of Len Goodman, who would be back on British soil filming the BBC version of the show. I found myself scratching my head as to why the show chose a guest judge with significantly less dancing knowledge and experience than the rest of the panel, but about halfway through the show, I realized this Dancing With the Stars stop must be part of press tour for his new movie The Wedding Ringer. You know, when the show shamelessly promoted it.
How do you think he and the dancers did? Why did Randy get the boot? And which two duos scored the first perfect scores of the season? All that and more in the recap below.
