Across the world, this week marks the release of the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but in India, it will witness the year’s biggest Bollywood movie battle. Two contrasting films, Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani both hit the screens on Dec. 18.

Both the films have huge budgets and the reputations of some of Bollywood’s biggest stars riding behind themDilwale sees the reunion of Bollywood’s evergreen pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, along with younger actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. In contrast, Bajirao Mastani will be banking on the chemistry between its lead pair and real-life couple Ranveer SIngh and Deepika Padukone. The duo’s last outing with Bhansali was the successful 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
