Director tweets public apology to Keira Knightley after criticising her in interview

Carney directed Knightley in the 2013 drama Begin Again. In a recent interview with The Independent, he spoke negatively about his experience of working with her on the film.
When asked about what he learned from making Begin Again, Carney replied: “I learned that I’ll never make a film with supermodels again.”
