On the eve of the second Republican presidential primary debate, Donald Trump stood aboard the U.S.S. Iowa and declared that he was “with the veterans, 100%.”

Trump’s event at the Port of Los Angeles was billed as a campaign rally and fundraiser for the group Veterans for a Strong America. He was introduced by the group’s chairman Joel Arends who announced that the group would endorse him in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

Joel Arends, head of Veterans for a Strong America, tells crowd his org doesn’t normally endorse in prez elections but is endorsing Trump.
