The Pentagon is taking back two Humvees that it gave to the city of Ferguson, Missouri, last year.

Pentagon officials ordered the department to return the Humvees in June, according to the Guardian, which first reported the story. The Ferguson police still have two Humvees in their possession.

The vehicles were used last summer as the police clashed with protesters. They were brought back out again this weekend as protesters gathered on the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.
