Google has pledged to match the first 5 million euros (about $5.5 million USD) it receives in donations to key organizations aiding in the refugee and migrant crisis in Europe. The goal is to collectively raise a total of $11 million to help the wave of refugees who need help and supplies

The tech giant announced the initiative in an official blog post on Tuesday, less than a week after it donated $1.1 million to organizations focused on shelter, food and water, health care and other essentials for refugees.

Anyone who visits Google’s refugee crisis landing page at can donate in increments of $5, $10, $25, $100 or $200. The money will go to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, or Doctors Without Borders), International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
