There are really only three things you need to know about Fox’s Batman prequel Gotham:

1. Season 1 was pretty bad.

2. Season 2 still isn’t good.

3. But when it’s worse, it’s better.

Let me explain.

Much like the villain Harvey Dent will eventually become, Gotham‘s maiden year suffered from a serious case of dissociative identity disorder. Each character seemed to be starring in a different show: Fish Mooney’s was a deliriously campy schlockfest.
