PASADENA, Calif. — Eagle-eyed Grease fanatics are in for a treat when the musical comes to Fox later this month

Producers on Friday announced that while John Travolta and Olivia Newton John are not set to appear in the live production, two former Grease cast members will — Didi Conn and Barry Pearl, who played Frenchy and Doody, respectively. Both will be playing new roles

Director Thomas Kail, who also directed Broadway favorite Hamilton, said their casting was to “pay respect” to the original cast

Conn will be playing Vi the waitress, a role played by the late Joan Blondell in the 1978 film. As luck would have it, the role means Conn will share the screen with Carly Rae Jepsen’s Frenchy Read more…
