‘Heroes Reborn’ premiere proves it’s hard out there for an EVO

In “Brave New World,” our final image was of world-saving cheerleader Claire Bennet leaping from a ferris wheel, breaking bones, and healing one last time — but this time in the name of bringing evolved humans out of anonymity
The resurrection of that world in Heroes Reborn comes at the expense of any optimism put forth by the original finale.
Reborn picks up four years later with a two-hour episode cruelly named after the abandoned volume. Evolved humans — shortened as EVOs — have coexisted with mankind ever since Claire’s revelation. But the peace is short-lived, thanks to an explosive act of terrorism in Odessa, Texas that kills hundreds. Suddenly, EVOs find themselves in the Heroes version of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
