The topic of refugees seeking asylum by boat in Australia is a topic hotly debated nationwide, and one that sees the country receive attention from all across the globe

The “I Came By Boat” campaign is hoping it can change public sentiment around refugees in Australia, by telling the stories of those who came to the country by boats themselves.

The campaign is asking for upwards of A$55,000 (US$40,000) via crowdfunding site Chuffed so the organisers can put posters in public places. Read more…
