But next month at the Toronto International Film Festival, the writer behind Jeff Who Lives at Home and The Puffy Chair and an unofficial mentor to so many in Hollywood is partnering with the Axe Collective and making it official. Prior to the festival, Duplass will join forces with three promising young filmmakers, helping them crystalize their respective visions and “kind of parlay that into the next step” of getting a film seen and distributed.
