PASADENA, CALIF. — Even J.J. Abrams thinks Hasbro messed up.

Earlier this week, Hasbro received backlash from Star Wars fans for not including Rey (played by Daisy Ridley), one of the protagonists of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in its new Star Wars edition of Monopoly.

“It seems preposterous and wrong that the main character of the movie is not well-represented in what is clearly a huge piece of the Star Wars world, in terms of merchandising,” Abrams told some reporters on Saturday after a Television Critics Association panel for his new Hulu series 11.22.63.
