LONDON — J.K. Rowling has hit back at the Daily Express over their latest front page story, which criticises the BBC for filming religious program Songs of Praise in a Calais migrant camp.

The Harry Potter author slammed newspaper owner Richard Desmond over the article, in which UKIP leader Nigel Farage and other critics accuse the BBC of trying to influence the political debate over migrants.

“Newspaper owned by man who got rich peddling pornography condemns the BBC for filming migrants singing hymns,” she wrote in a tweet including the paper’s front page. Read more…
