Lads’ magazine Zoo Weekly has been pulled from the shelves of an Australian supermarket chain following a campaign against its content

The supermarket giant, Coles, told Mumbrella it had decided to drop the magazine — which is full of pictures of women in skimpy clothing — in a “commercial decision” that followed a “regular range review.” It did not link the removal of the magazine to the campaign.

But lobby group Collective Shout are claiming it as a win. A supporter of the group, Laura Pintur, began a petition directed at both Coles, and its major competitor Woolworths, to get them to remove the magazine.
