Man dies after being crushed by tank on Jelly Belly chairman’s property
Herman Rowland, the chairman of candy company Jelly Belly, has commented on the accident on his property involving a man who was run over and killed by a World War II-era tank during a family reunion.
“An invited guest at our family reunion tragically lost his life when he was involved in an off road vehicle accident on private property. Our family is grieving over this tragic loss,” reads the statement
“We are all still in a state of shock.”
The accident occurred at about 2:25 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Rowland’s property in Fairfield, California, according to California Highway Patrol.
