Michael Phelps capped off a big Tuesday with his second gold medal of the night, anchoring the U.S. team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay despite ripping his cap and having to borrow one from a teammate.

As the race unfolded and Phelps prepped for his leg, his swim cap ripped in his hands, a show of mighty strength.

Teammate Conor Dwyer came to the rescue, handing Phelps his cap, which Phelps turned inside out and popped on.

In the end, it hardly mattered as the U.S. cruised to another relay gold medal, giving Phelps his 21st gold medal overall.
