The Late Show with Stephen Colbert got a touch of highbrow class on Oct. 5

Ballerina Misty Copeland and cellist Yo-Yo Ma stopped by to do a performance set to Bach’s “Cello Suite No. 2.” Copeland’s dance was choreographed by Marcelo Gomes.

The ballerina made waves earlier this year when she became the first black principal dancer at the famous American Ballet Theatre.

In another segment, she sat down with Colbert and discussed her new role, as well as the responsibility she feels for diversifying the ballet world. Read more…
