LONDON — Sir Alex Guinness, a.k.a. Obi Wan Kenobi, wasn’t always the biggest fan of Star Wars

Judging by the letter he wrote to Anne Kauffman during the filming of A New Hope back in 1976, he was actually pretty grouchy about the whole thing.

The letter was read by modern-day Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac during Letters Live 2016, the BBC reports. Letters Live is an annual event which takes place in London, and involves letters from throughout history being read by celebrities in front of an audience.

“Can’t say I’m enjoying the film,” Guinness wrote to Kaufmann in his letter. Read more…
