Police rush to help ‘injured otter’ at roadside, get furry surprise
LONDON — It’s been mere weeks since a police helicopter responded to a call about a “person who sounded in distress” only to discover a noisy goat, and now officers in Shropshire have had a similarly confusing experience.
Last Thursday, officers in Newport responded to a report about an otter that was lying injured at the side of a road — but not everything was as it seemed.
To be fair, it does look sort of like an otter.
Now at this point, less sympathetic individuals would have left the fur collar and gone on their way. But Newport officers were not about to abandon a fur collar in need. Read more…
