LOS ANGELES — Project Greenlight Digital Studios has chosen its first contest winner in #Josh, a Miami-set dramedy from Joshua Jean-Baptiste and Edson Jean, who will get $25,000 and a development deal to shoot the new studio’s maiden web series.

The show follows Josh, a young, “digitally dependent” Haitian-American who has to live with his “promiscuous, problematic” cousin in inner-city Miami. Jean-Baptiste and Jean, both New World School of the Arts graduates, say they’ve written 16 webisodes that will revolve around social media, which they’ll use motion graphics to illustrate.
