The manager of Rio’s Deodoro Stadium, Marjorie Enya, couldn’t have picked a better time to propose. The Australian women’s rugby sevens team had just won gold after beating New Zealand on Monday and the mood was high. Perfect time to propose on a pitch.

The 28-year-old was ready. She grabbed a mic and started speaking to her girlfriend of two years, 25-year-old Isabella Cerullo, a Brazilian rugby player.
