Let’s face it — when anatomically correct humanoid robots are finally part of our daily lives, you can bet that someone will put them to work in the oldest profession.

That was not lost on the makers of Automata, which comes out Friday on VOD and in theaters in Los Angeles and New York. Antonio Banderas stars in the sci-fi noir by Spanish filmmaker Gabe Ibáñez, who wrote the script about what the world might look like when mankind and machines begin to merge.

But someone doesn’t take kindly to an inevitable part of that merger in this clip, shared exclusively with Mashable. It’s a particularly disturbing moment in an unsettling look at where our obsession with recreating ourselves might lead.
