SNL reveals the true aftermath of an alien abduction – CNET
Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that’s taken over our lives.
It’s likely that alien abductions have already happened.
I judge this not only from the current presidential race, but also from some of the things I overhear at Starbucks.
I’m grateful, therefore, that “Saturday Night Live” decided to delve into the consequences of being kidnapped for examination by strange people and then let go.
It’s a little like being seduced into working at Google, but once you get out of Google you don’t have to undergo an interview with the NSA. (Well, not often, I imagine.)
Here, then, was perhaps the first time an NSA interview of a post-alien abduction was televised.
The first shock revealed to the NSA by actress Kate McKinnon is that the little green people aren’t green.
“They were gray with big, fat eyes and little mouths,” she explained. Perhaps they have politicians out in space too.
“They just stared while I peed,” continued McKinnon. “I don’t think I was dealing with the top brass.”
Cecily Strong and Ryan Gosling had slightly different experiences on the spaceship.
“The aliens showed my mind the furnace of all creation — what we would call God,” said Strong.
My sympathy here is with the NSA interviewers. I imagine that at least once a week they have to encounter tales of people who claim to have been abducted by people up there.
Why, there’s even a former defense minister of Canada who insists that aliens are a peaceable bunch who have been visiting for thousands of years. Apparently they don’t want to give us the best of their advanced technology because they don’t think too much of us.
What a job it would be to listen to such stories and not have the remotest way to prove whether any of them has even a scintilla of truth.
The aliens need to be a little more direct with us, I fear. For a start, they need to tell us which of the presidential candidates on either side is actually one of theirs.
