LONDON — Star Wars actor John Boyega took to Twitter Sunday to apologise for “not clarifying” comments he made about diversity in a speech at Saturday’s Screen Nation Film and Television Awards.

Boyega won the award for Best Male at the event, which celebrates “leading professionals of UK & global African Diaspora heritage” in the TV and film industry.

“To complain about what is going on is not going to benefit us,” Boyega told the crowd. “It is not.

“Be the change you want to be. Be the chance, and continue and focus.” Read more…
