Liam Neeson’s action trilogy Taken is coming to NBC in the form of a television prequel

Mashable has confirmed that the network has put in a straight-to-series order for the show, based on the 2008 movie and subsequent sequels, which have grossed more than $928 million worldwide

In the first film, Neeson played Bryan Mills, a retired CIA operative who launches a mission to save his kidnapped daughter (Maggie Grace)

The series will reportedly tell the story of Mills’ time in the CIA

The show has the support of the film’s original screenwriter Luc Besson, whose studio EuropaCorp will co-produce with Universal TV Read more…
