Swiftie and singer-songwriter Ryan Adams is wrapping up an album that covers 1989 in its entirety, giving the record a moody, Morrissey-inspired sound makeover. Adams has been taking plenty of tips from T.Swift, including teasing his work on Instagram

The project makes more sense than it may seem to. Both Swift and Adams are devoted cat lovers, and his song “New York, New York” is basically the jaded version of 1989‘s hyperbolically optimistic opening track, “Welcome to New York.”

But they have their differences, too. For instance: Ryan Adams claims that “love is hell,” while Swift believes “love is a ruthless game.” Read more…
