WIRED’s transportation team is in Texas this weekend for the Formula One United States Grand Prix, and we’ve already gotten the best view of Austin’s Circuit of the Americas racetrack.

From the top of the 251-foot observation tower, which looks like a high dive platform for the insane, you can see the entirety of the 20-turn, 3.4-mile counterclockwise track.

It’s a rare view in this sport, where fans and even VIPs are usually stuck watching one part of the course, and filling in the rest with their imaginations.
