Josh Ostrovsky, better known as The Fat Jew, is speaking out following the backlash he’s faced from the comedy world.

Ostrovsky rose to fame by posting funny jokes and memes on his Instagram page — but has come under fire for not giving proper credit to the original joke creators, especially since he signed with talent agency CAA last week. Comedians like Patton Oswalt and Kumail Nanjani have spoken out against his joke theft, blasting him for taking images and gags from struggling comedians and posting them without credit for his 5.7 million Instagram followers

Ostrovsky also had a script development deal with Comedy Central, though it fell through — reportedly before the brouhaha about his content generation strategy erupted. Read more…
