Many people gathered in Sydney Wednesday night to protest the newly-designated prime minister’s stance on marriage equality.

Malcolm Turnbull, the new prime minister, has long been an advocate for same-sex marriage, but is being accused of backflipping on his previous stance in order to keep happy the conservatives in his party.

Despite lousy weather, people young and old attended the rally to show their support for the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia. While watching performances and speeches, those in attendance huddled amongst each other to ward off the biting cold. Read more…
