The Kansas City Royals are the kings of Major League Baseball for the first time in 30 years, clinching the World Series crown with a wild 7-2 Game 5 win over the New York Mets on Sunday night.

Down 2-0 entering the top the of ninth after a stellar performance by New York Mets ace Matt Harvey, the Royals scratched together two runs to force extra innings and then exploded in the top of the 12th, plating five runs that would prove to be the championship difference.
