Assembling the audio direction for a game like Destiny is no small task. You need deep knowledge of the game. Musical literacy. A creative eye and ear. And sizzling vegetables, styrofoam and big cats.

C Paul Johnson leads the two-headed team at Bungie that’s responsible for everything you hear in Destiny. On one side, there’s Skye Lewin and Mike Salvatori. They, along with Johnson, shape the game’s musical identity.

Then there’s David Henry and Steve Hodde, both lead designers. As Johnson puts it in a conversation with Mashable, the pair “contributes pretty significantly to the character of our soundscape on the sound design side.” Read more…
