The New England Patriots beat the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers 28-21 to open the NFL season last Thursday night behind dominant performances by quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski
But their biggest victory may have come after the final whistle — and could be bad news for future visiting opponents, after an NFL off-season defined by the league’s never-ending Deflategate pseudo-scandal.
