It was inevitable: After Sarah Palin returned to the national stage this week with a rambling and at times mystifying endorsement of Donald Trump, Tina Fey has returned to Saturday Night Live with her spot-on impression of the former Alaska governor.

Fey even wore what appeared to be the same shiny, spiky jacket that Palin had donned for her speechSNL‘s version of Palin said that she wanted to “take a break from my full-time career of writing things on Facebook” to endorse Trump, played by Darrell Hammond.

Bemoaning the state of the country, Fey-as-Palin said that “we’ve seen our children targeted by the police for no reason other than that they’ve committed some crimes,” a reference to the real Palin appearing to blame President Barack Obama for her son’s arrest on domestic violence charges.
