LONDON — Vogue has long been the international barometer of style, delivering its universally-respected verdict on what’s — and who’s — hot.

Twitter has other ideas, however.

Yesterday, a tweet posted by British Vogue about Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid’s supermodel status prompted something of a backlash.

The tweet — which read “Who said that Kendall and Gigi are not “true supermodels”?” — resulted in thousands of retweets, and hundreds of one-word replies.

Only, the trolling didn’t end there. Vogue posted the exact same tweet again at 1:30am GMT, which predictably resulted in a series of “everyone” replies, with some of the tweets more emphatic than before. Read more…
