Yes, kangaroos are cute and cuddly, but they are also an absolute menace on the road.

The marsupials can frequently be seen grazing by Australian roadsides, and their erratic movements have caused accidents that aren’t any good for the health of the driver or the roo.

Now Volvo is trying to help solve the problem. The company has announced it’s developing a “kangaroo detection and collision avoidance system,” which builds off their current City Safety autonomous emergency braking technology, to help Aussie drivers avoid striking the furry creatures. Read more…
