So, that Ashley Madison hack.
It was an icky business model (based on cheating) with an icky back-end (like failing to delete information at users’ request), and icky front-end (like the fact that most of the “women” on the site were fake).
And the aftermath of the hack has been nothing short of sad. Many marriages have surely been wrecked just because a bored (and probably slightly delusional) husband wanted to chat with human sex machines only to end up chatting with machine sex machines. The lesson here is don’t check to see if your partner’s name is in the database.
